Report of his administration of New Spain, 1777 / by José de Gálvez.

José de Gálvez's report is divided into four parts and documents his service to the Crown in New Spain. Part I details the problems in the court system. Part II focuses on the old and new branches of the Exchequer and part III describes the financial systems of the cities and towns of his administration and that of Guadalajara. Part IV describes two expeditions commissioned by Gálvez to expell the Jesuits from the Provincias Internas y Remotas. There are 20 folding tables of statistics on trade, commerce, taxes, and royal monopolies on tobacco and salt.
